Women may complain of joint pain with aromatase inhibitors... Arimidex, Aromasin, and Femara.
About 25% of women on aromatase inhibitors for breast cancer experience joint or musculoskeletal pain...around 5% stop them due to severe or persistent pain.
Researchers suspect this is due to the drop in estrogen levels caused by aromatase inhibitors. It's thought that estrogen might decrease inflammation and block pain signals.
