Don't Be Surprised to See Cancer Patients Taking More Than One Opioid for Pain
The shift away from opioids for NONcancer pain is raising questions about how to treat pain in adults with cancer.
Acetaminophen, an NSAID (ibuprofen, etc), or both are good choices for mild pain.
But over half of cancer patients have moderate to severe pain. In these cases, opioids may be needed if non-opioids aren't enough.
