The CDC just came out with new recommendations to prevent HIV infection after needle sticks, etc.
Taking AZT right away significantly reduces the risk of infection. But now experts recommend using combination therapy...expecting it will be even more effective.
They recommend using AZT 200 mg TID...plus 3TC 150 mg BID.
