This month you'll see the first metered-dose inhaler that doesn't contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)...Proventil HFA.
It's manufactured by 3M...and will be marketed by Schering.
CFCs are being phased out...they deplete the ozone layer. Eventually all metered-dose inhalers will be reformulated or taken off the market.
