For example, dogs get 10 mcg/lb of levothyroxine BID...twenty times the typical human dose. Cats take 10 mcg/lb once a day.
Pork insulin is identical to canine insulin. Beef insulin is more similar to cats'. Cats often need more dilute U-40 insulin...to make it easier to titrate the dose.
