OTC laxatives that contain aloe or cascara will either go off the market or be reformulated.
Diocto-C, Docusoft, Doxidan, Peri-Colace, and other products that contain aloe, cascara sagrada, or the cascara derivative casanthranol need to be discontinued or reformulated by Nov 5th.
In 1998, the FDA told manufacturers that safety data had to be submitted for all stimulant laxatives.
