An IV form of Prevacid (lansoprazole) is hitting the market. It's the second IV proton pump inhibitor...after Protonix IV.

Prevacid IV will come as 30 mg vials...dosed once a day.

Both products are effective for suppressing gastric acid...and cost about the same, depending on price contracts.
