Menostar, the lowest-dose estrogen patch

Berlex is now introducing Menostar, the lowest-dose estrogen patch so far. It provides just 14 mcg/day of estradiol...about half the dose of the previously lowest-strength patch.

Menostar is approved only to prevent osteoporosis.

This low dose is enough to increase bone density...but not enough to cause endometrial hyperplasia in most women.
