People are confused about how to get the new OptiClik pen for Lantus insulin. Aventis is getting tons of calls from pharmacists.
Aventis is providing the empty pens for free...but right now only to physicians. When physicians don't have the pens, they write an Rx.
But Aventis can't ship the pens to pharmacies yet. Not until they get a regulatory glitch ironed out.
