You'll also soon hear about Cordaptive for cholesterol. It's a combo of niacin and a new ingredient to reduce "flushing."

The new ingredient is laropiprant. It works like aspirin to reduce flushing, redness, or sweating sometimes caused by niacin.

The hope is that laropiprant will work better than aspirin to reduce flushing...with a lower risk of stomach bleeding. But this hasn't been proven yet.
