Drug reps are promoting the new drug, Kapidex (dexlansoprazole).
Kapidex is a proton pump inhibitor ("PPI") used for reflux or stomach ulcers...similar to omeprazole (Prilosec), etc.
It's most closely related to Prevacid (lansoprazole). People take Kapidex 30 to 60 mg/day...compared to Prevacid 15 to 30 mg/day.
