First Avandia and heart attacks, now FDA is looking into a possible link between Actos (pioglitazone) and bladder cancer.

Don't expect any big changes related to Actos for now. None of the studies actually show that Actos increases the risk of bladder cancer.

NEITHER Actos nor Avandia is a good FIRST choice for type 2 diabetes. These "glitazones" might raise the risk of some heart problems and fractures.
