whether it's okay to combine certain antidepressants
We're getting questions about whether it's okay to combine certain antidepressants...Lexapro with Paxil, Celexa with Effexor, etc.
Some prescribers are using an "SSRI" (fluoxetine, etc) with an "SNRI" (venlafaxine, etc)...two "SSRIs"...or two "SNRIs" for depression.
The thought behind combining these is to get better depression control...or to treat multiple conditions, such as fibromyalgia or pain.
