Expect Most Children and Teens to Get Just TWO Doses of HPV Vaccine
Most children and adolescents will now only need TWO doses of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine (Gardasil 9, etc)...instead of three.
It turns out that in kids ages 9 to 14, giving two HPV doses 6 to 12 months apart produces an immune response similar to three doses.
This is more convenient and may boost HPV vaccine completion rates.
