Prevent Common Eye Drop Errors

Patients often use eye drops incorrectly...leading to inaccurate dosing, med waste, running out of drops early, etc.

Instillation technique is often the biggest challenge for patients.

Ensure patients getting eye drops receive pharmacist counseling on proper administration. Patients will need to tilt their head back...form a "pocket" with the lower eyelid...and look up before instilling the drop.
