Add Aorta Blood Vessel Ruptures to the List of Quinolone Concerns

Ruptures or tears in the aorta blood vessel are the latest risk with quinolone antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, etc).

FDA will now require added warnings on oral and injectable quinolone labels about the link.

One theory suggests that quinolones may disrupt connective tissues in the aorta...possibly leading to vessel wall damage and aortic rupture.
