Watch for Patients Getting OTC Primatene Mist for Asthma

Primatene Mist (epinephrine) will return to OTC shelves for relieving occasional symptoms of mild asthma in patients age 12 and up.

It was withdrawn in 2011 due to chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) propellant regulations, NOT safety issues. But many were happy to see it go.

Now Primatene Mist is back with an HFA propellant.
