Avoid Errors With Slynd, a New Oral Contraceptive
Slynd (slind, drospirenone) will be a new progestin-only oral contraceptive.
It joins norethindrone (Camila, Errin, Heather, etc) as the only other "minipill" that contains just a progestin hormone.
These progestin-only pills are an option when estrogen in combo OCs (Lo Loestrin Fe, Trivora, etc) should be avoided...such as in women who are breastfeeding or have a history of clots or migraine with aura.
