Help Sort Through Options for Fungal Skin Infections
Patients often ask which topical med is best for fungal skin infections...including athlete’s foot, jock itch, or ringworm.
OTC antifungals, such as butenafine (Lotrimin Ultra, etc) or terbinafine (Lamisil AT, etc), are usually enough for these infections.
Clotrimazole (Lotrimin, etc) or miconazole (Micatin, etc) is also effective...but requires longer treatment.
