You may see Rxs with directions to SWALLOW inhaled corticosteroids (fluticasone propionate HFA MDI, etc).

This may not be a typo. Patients may swallow inhaled steroids for a chronic allergic condition called eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE)...which can cause difficulty swallowing food, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc.
