There will be some big changes to the requirements for national technician certification for 2025-2026.

Starting January 2026, the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam blueprint will add focus on new content areas...automated dispensing systems and telepharmacy...as well as content about expanding technician roles (medication management, vaccine administration, etc).

And beginning on July 9, 2025, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) will also have an updated exam.
