Maxipime (MAXI-peem, cefepime), the first "fourth-generation" injectable cephalosporin
Bristol-Myers Squibb is launching Maxipime (MAXI-peem, cefepime), the first "fourth-generation" injectable cephalosporin.

Fourth-generation cephalosporins are considered "broad spectrum" with both gram-negative and gram-positive coverage.
