Roche is now introducing Posicor (mibefradil), a new calcium blocker for hypertension and angina.
It's the first in a new class...the tetralol calcium blockers.
It lowers blood pressure at least as well as the other calcium blockers...but it causes fewer adverse effects on the heart.
