Versed (midazolam) now comes as an ORAL syrup. Until now, it had to be given by injection...or compounded for oral use.

Versed is given to sedate children before medical procedures.

A HIGHER dose is needed when it's given orally...usually 0.25 to 0.5 mg/kg...up to a maximum dose of 20 mg.
