guanfacine (Tenex) might precipitate mania
Experts are now cautioning that guanfacine (Tenex) might precipitate mania...in some children being treated for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

But some children on guanfacine become MORE agitated...with increased hyperactivity, incessant talking, excessive irritability, and insomnia.
