Imitrex tablets will be reformulated to reach maximum concentration 10 to 15 minutes faster.
The hope is that this will translate to faster onset of action...but it still seems to take at least 30 minutes.
Duration will stay the same. The half-life for both the old and new tablets is about 2.5 hours.
