Medicare Part D Rx drug coverage starts January 1, 2006. The current Medicare Drug Discount Cards will be gone by next May.
The gov't won't DIRECTLY pay for Rx drugs.
Patients will get drug coverage from a private PDP (Prescription Drug Plan)...or a Medicare Advantage Rx drug plan.
