Glaxo is now promoting Avandaryl, a new combination of rosiglitazone and glimepiride.

This is the first glitazone and sulfonylurea combo.

Other drug combos for type 2 diabetes contain a glitazone plus metformin (ActoPlus Met, Avandamet)...or metformin plus a sulfonylurea (Glucovance, Metaglip).
