FDA is warning about a possible increased risk of suicidal thoughts with antiseizure drugs or Chantix (varenicline).

Antiseizure meds may be used for seizures, migraines, bipolar disorder, or other conditions...and include gabapentin (Neurontin), carbamazepine (Tegretol, others), Topamax (topiramate), etc.

Patients taking antiseizure drugs seem to have TWICE the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors as those not taking these drugs.
