People are hearing about a possible link between plastics containing bisphenol A (BPA) and diabetes and heart disease.
BPA is used to make hard polycarbonate plastics...used for some baby bottles, etc. Surprisingly, it even lines some metal food cans.
So far, the FDA says that BPA exposure levels are too low to cause harm. But other experts argue that BPA has estrogenic effects and even low levels might cause problems.
