We're getting questions about whether it's okay to deliver certain drugs via pneumatic tubes in hospital systems.
Protein drugs (albumin, growth factors, insulin, etc) are a big concern. Too much shaking can damage the proteins that make up these drugs...and reduce effects.
It's usually okay to tube Humalog, Humulin, Novolin, NovoLog, and Levemir vials ONE TIME...but caution against tubing them multiple times since there's no data on this.
