Some patients are asking if their meds contain animal products.
Vegetarians, vegans, Jews, Muslims, and others sometimes want to know which products come from certain animal sources.
Watch for desiccated thyroid from pig thyroids...heparin from pig intestines...pancreatic enzymes from pig pancreases...Premarin from pregnant mares' urine...and vaccines (influenza, etc) grown in eggs.
