There's more debate about whether it's okay for women with migraine headaches to use combined oral contraceptives (OCs).

Many prescribers avoid using combo OCs in women who have migraine WITH aura...and in women over 35 with migraine WITHOUT aura.

This is due to concerns about increasing stroke risk...especially with the older, higher-dose estrogen pills, like Ovcon 50 or Zovia 1/50.
