This is partly due to insurer "pay-for-performance" programs...where incentives may be given to prescribers if patients take certain meds.

But it doesn't mean EVERY patient with diabetes should be on an "ACE inhibitor" or "ARB" blood pressure med, aspirin, and a statin.
