Patients are asking whether electronic cigarettes or hookah pipes are safer than smoking cigarettes.
Electronic cigarettes (NJoy, blu eCigs, etc) and electronic pipes are battery-operated devices with replaceable cartridges. They work by vaporizing the liquid in the cartridge.
It's true that e-cigarettes don't produce tobacco smoke...so users aren't exposed to all of the carcinogens in the smoke.
