Patients will have more OTC options for acne now that Differin 0.1% (adapalene) GEL is making the Rx-to-OTC switch.

Differin 0.1% gel will be a first-line OTC option for many patients with mild acne. Think of it as similar to other Rx topical retinoids...tretinoin (Retin-A, etc) or tazarotene (Tazorac, etc).

Expect many payers NOT to cover the Rx 0.1% gel once it's OTC.
