Trelegy Ellipta Will Be the First 3-in-1 Inhaler for COPD
Trelegy Ellipta (TREL-eh-gee) will be the first "three-in-one" inhaler for COPD.
Trelegy combines two long-acting inhaled bronchodilators, umeclidinium and vilanterol...and the corticosteroid fluticasone furoate. It's a dry-powder inhaler that's given as a single puff once daily.
Expect Trelegy to be saved for COPD patients who have exacerbations while taking two long-acting bronchodilators...or who also have asthma.
