Ongentys and Kynmobi Will Be New Meds for Parkinson's Disease
Ongentys (opicapone) and Kynmobi (apomorphine) will add to the growing list of meds for Parkinson's disease.
They're for "off" episodes...when symptoms (tremor, etc) return between carbidopa/levodopa doses, especially as Parkinson's progresses.
Expect these meds to be saved for when dose adjustments of carbidopa/levodopa don't help...or other add-ons (pramipexole, rasagiline, etc) aren't enough or aren't tolerated.
