Identify Issues With Heart Failure Regimens
There will be more focus on optimizing med regimens for heart failure...to help improve patient outcomes and survival.
Many patients with heart failure need to be on an ACE inhibitor (lisinopril, etc), ARB (losartan, etc), or sacubitril/valsartan (Entresto)...a beta-blocker (carvedilol, etc)...an aldosterone antagonist (spironolactone, etc)...plus an SGLT2 inhibitor (dapagliflozin, etc).
But fewer than 1 in 6 patients get this “quadruple therapy”...partly due to concerns about cost, side effects, etc.
