Allergan is introducing Tazorac (TAZ-or-ac, tazarotene), a new topical retinoid gel. It's approved for both acne AND psoriasis.
Topical retinoids have been used for some time for acne...but Tazorac is the first one for PSORIASIS.
This makes sense. ORAL retinoids (Tegison) are effective for psoriasis...but they're limited to severe cases because of their systemic effects.
