Alcon will market Patanol (olopatadine), a prescription antihistamine eye drop to relieve itching.
It's an alternative to Livostin (levocabastine)...or OTC antihistamine/decongestant eye drops such as Naphcon-A.
Patients use Patanol BID...instead of QID like Livostin. Patanol may cause less stinging and burning.
