This month, Parke-Davis will start marketing Rezulin (troglitazone) for Type II diabetes.
This is the first drug in a new class...called "glitazones." These drugs are very useful...they improve insulin sensitivity.
Troglitazone stimulates the uptake of glucose into skeletal muscle cells...and decreases glucose production in the liver.
