Amoxil now comes in oral TABLETS...for BID dosing in adults.This is similar to the recent dosing change for Augmentin.

Giving the same daily dose of either amoxicillin or AugmentinBID works as well as TID. This is due to the prolonged effect ofthese antibiotics after blood levels have decreased.

The new Amoxil tabs come in 500 mg and 875 mg.
