Parke-Davis is introducing Omnicef (cefdinir), a new oralcephalosporin for children and adults.

Think of it as a "me-too"...very similar to Cedax (ceftibuten),Suprax (cefixime), or Vantin (cefpodoxime).

It's a third generation cephalosporin...active against abroad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
