There are important differences between the new Qvar (CUE-var) beclomethasone inhaler for asthma and older beclomethasone inhalers.
Qvar contains the propellant hydrofluoroalkane (HFA)...instead of the ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
The HFA propellant produces a softer, warmer spray that delivers beclomethasone in smaller-sized particles.
