There's now evidence that inhaled steroids DON'T affect LONG-TERM growth in children.
This is good news. There's been concern about slowed growth in kids using inhaled steroids for asthma.
Inhaled steroids might reduce growth by about half an inch during the first year of use...but these children seem to reach normal adult height.
