More women will be taking Femara (letrozole) or Arimidex (anastrozole) for breast cancer.

Both are now approved for INITIAL therapy of metastatic breast cancer...as an alternative to tamoxifen.

Until now, tamoxifen was the gold standard for treating women with estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer. But Femara and Arimidex seem to work at least as well...if not better.
