new injectable iron called Venofer

Some patients will get a new injectable iron called Venofer.

Venofer contains iron sucrose. It will be used as an alternative to Ferrlecit (sodium ferric gluconate). They're both indicated for anemia in dialysis patients also taking erythropoietin.

Venofer and Ferrlecit are easier to give than Infed.
