Azithromycin now comes as an eyedrop called AzaSite for bacterial conjunctivitis or "pink eye."
Think of it as a "Z-Pak for the eyes."
Most antibiotic eyedrops are given every 2 to 8 hours. AzaSite is dosed less frequently since it stays on the eye surface longer.
