Stay Alert for Meds on the “KIDs List” to Keep Children Safe

Pharmacies are revising their pediatric safety practices based on recent updates to the Key Potentially Inappropriate Drugs (KIDs) list.

This is the first revision since the initial KIDs list came out in 2020. Review notable changes to help improve pediatric care.

Additions. Be aware that montelukast is now on the list...it has a higher risk of sleep disturbances in kids under 18 versus adults.
